What We Do

Early Product Evaluation and Development

The architecture of success begins with a solid foundation

Strategic vision is inseperable from product development. We help clients gather insight, optimize protocols, and formulate the best strategies for a successful brand launch.

  • Technology-driven literature and data mining
    • Our unique technology scours structured and unstructured data sources to extract all relevant information. From biomarkers and patents to trial design or disease states, we find and analyze it quickly.
  • Institutional identification and profiling
    • We'll provide thorough, up-to-date profiles you can use to enhance institutional and investigator relationships, and to guide clinical development plans.
  • Competitive intelligence
    • While our unique technology platform mines public data sources, our research analysts and medical strategists bring you intelligence from major scientific conventions, opinion leaders, and scientific experts.
  • Medical strategy and consultation
    • Your preliminary marketing strategy should be an early priority. We help clients lay the strategic groundwork they need to ensure successful adoption, rapid uptake, and brand loyalty.

Clinical Development

Creating a value proposition that resonates with your audience

Establishing an unmet need and communicating how your brand will fill that gap is essential. Our in-house Medical Affairs team, together with our experienced marketing professionals, will help you create and communicate a clinically meaningful value proposition for your brand.

  • Core message and lexicon development and testing
    • Early product differentiation requires a concise scientific and clinical lexicon. We'll create a distinctive language landscape in which product attributes are clearly articulated and positioned.
  • Disease education
    • Our multimedia market-shaping campaigns articulate unmet medical needs, clarify disease pathogenesis, and explain the complex science behind our clients' products.
  • Investigator engagements
    • Our integrated initiatives foster ongoing dialogue, identify best-practice standards, and create a sense of community among investigators.
  • Advisory initiatives
    • We design integrated advisory initiatives across all health care disciplines. We utilize the Web and live interactions for instant feedback to a rapidly changing clinical and commercial landscape.
  • Content management systems
    • Data change rapidly. Our unique applications share and manage multimedia files, maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring fair balance.
  • Biomedical writing and editorial services
    • Our widely published team of biomedical science writers and medical editors helps research professionals and clinical investigators communicate their emerging findings.

Marketing Conditioning

You are not ready for the market until the market is ready for you

Our approach to market conditioning engages opinion leaders and educates the professional world about the disease state and the role of your efforts in addressing it.

  • Opinion leadership management
    • KOL360 is the only suite of services spanning the entire spectrum of opinion leadership science. From early identification and screening through metrics for tracking success, we manage every step.
  • Influence and social network mapping and segmentation
    • Our proprietary approach for KOL segmentation characterizes influencers at the national, regional, community, and up-and-comer level, based on fundamental attributes such as experience, intent to communicate, and innovation.
  • Physician sentiment analysis and message mapping
    • Our computational linguists gauge individual alignment with your scientific platform, optimizing the effectiveness of interactions with opinion leaders.
  • Managed-markets strategy/consultation
    • Managed care is a product environment, not just a distribution channel. We help guide your market-shaping communication strategies in this key area.

Launch Planning and Support

From clinical success to business success

We design launch plans that make your marketing budget deliver strong ongoing relationships and measurable ROI.

  • Speaker training
    • We compose contextually relevant clinical stories, and, most importantly, train speakers to be educators, not just lecturers.
  • Sales and Medical Science Liaison training
    • We use branching logic, clinical cases, self-study modules, and dynamic tools to reinforce key learnings.
  • Core launch collaterals
    • Our exhaustive planning, high standards, and dedication to your schedule—from package inserts to call-center support to case studies and Web sites—have earned Synapse a reputation as "The Launch Agency."
  • eDetailing
    • Our proprietary iLearn eDetailing application provides an innovative and cost-effective alternative to traditional detailing.
  • Nonpersonal promotions
    • Our integrated approach—multimedia, multichannel, and distance learning platforms—provides effective reach and frequency to each target audience at the right time.
  • Peer-to-peer programming and speakers bureaus
    • Our Learning Academies routinely draw hard-to-reach, top-tier physicians, demonstrating impressive ROI.
  • Managed-market initiatives
    • We'll help prepare you for each payer—cultivating managed-care opinion leader support; preparing mock P&T committee initiatives; and developing formulary kits, AMCP dossiers, and other collateral materials.

Marketing Expansion and Brand Loyalty

Building a product into a brand

We reach beyond those who prescribe drugs to educate allied health care professionals and consumers across the continuum of care.

  • Nursing and pharmacy programs
    • We create educational programs to deliver your key messages to these important caregivers.
  • Patient education materials
    • Using print and interactive media, we educate the patient about the disease, the therapeutic regimen, and how to derive the maximum benefit from therapy.
  • Managed-markets initiatives
    • Through managed-care opinion leaders, we help you gain access. We support your account team with branded and nonbranded value-added educational initiatives.

We help prepare you for each payer—cultivating managed-care opinion leader support, preparing P&T committee programs, and developing formulary kits, AMCP dossiers, and other collateral materials.

  • Point-of-care education
    • There's no better place to reach health care professionals than at the point of care. We create digital materials, including PDA-based applications.
